Church balcony collapse during Ash Wednesday service in the Philippines

One person was killed, 63 others were injured and rushed to the hospital when part of a church’s second floor collapsed in north of Manila on early Wednesday.

After the incident, the City’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, local police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the City Health Office rushed to the scene, said by the official. Mayor Arthur Robes has ordered the damaged church to be closed as investigators inspect the building's structural safety.
