ASEAN ministers agree on five issues in AMM

Foreign ministers of ASEAN have agreed on five issues discussed at the ASEAN ministerial meeting 2024 held from Sunday to Monday in Luang Prabang, Laos.

Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Marsudi said that the meeting had resulted in several agreements on issues pertaining to the ASEAN region and beyond. In addition, Indonesia also welcomes the ASEAN initiative to hold the first meeting this year for high contracting parties of the treaty of amity and cooperation in Southeast Asia, or Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC). ASEAN is also committed to voicing out peace.

The ASEAN member countries also emphasize inclusive and holistic approach in creating strategic plans, and consult further with related stakeholders in the region.
