Shinkansen services on some sections cancelled due to power outage

East Japan Railway Company said Shinkansen bullet train services remain partly suspended Tuesday on three lines in Japan's capital and multiple prefectures due to a power outage. The sections affected are Tokyo to Sendai on the Tohoku line, as well as Tokyo to Takasaki on the Hokuriku and Joetsu lines.

The railway company said it deeply apologizes for the inconvenience caused too many customers and said it will make every effort to resume operations from the first train on Wednesday.
