2023 China-ASEAN Film Culture Week opens in Nanning

The 2023 China-ASEAN Film Culture Week opened in Nanning, to boost cultural exchanges between China and the ten Southeast Asian countries. Filmmakers and guests from China and ASEAN countries attended the opening ceremony, with renowned Hong Kong director Stanley Tong receiving an honor award at the event.

Ten films from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as four Chinese films, would be screened, during the 8-day event. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
