China finishes its first 3,000m deep sea 3D seismic exploration

China completed its first 3,000-meter-deep 3D seismic exploration, according to China National Offshore Oil Corporation on Thursday.

The achievement was made through three months of hard work with the home-grown marine seismic exploration and acquisition equipment "Haijing" system.

The operation was conducted in a 3,000-meter-ultra-deep water area, located at the Pearl River Estuary Basin.
