China's Xi arrives in Viet Nam for state visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Viet Nam on Tuesday for his first state visit in six years.

During his visit, Xi will hold talks with Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, and Vo Van Thuong, State President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Viet Nam, and Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the National Assembly.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry WangWenbin said the agenda for Xi's trip includes politics, security, practical cooperation, the formation of public opinion, multilateral issues and maritime issues.
