Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta. Both leaders agreed to expand economic and commercial cooperation with a target to elevate annual bilateral trade to $5 billion by 2030.

El-Sisi and Prabowo witnessed the signing of multiple memorandums of understanding designed to convert their strategic partnership established in early 2025 into active operational programs. Areas of focus included potential agreements covering visa protocols, statistics, and fisheries. The leaders underscored their shared desire to deepen investment ties, build concrete projects, and leverage their economic synergies across Southeast Asia and the Middle East/Africa.
