Over 2,000 people enter China visa-free on first day of new policy

A total of 2,029 inbound visitors entered China through visa-free channels on Friday, December 1, the first day of China's implementation of a 15-day visa-free policy for nationals from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia. The measure is the latest effort to boost Chinese economy after Covid-19 controls caused a virtual halt to international travel.
