Rehabilitation in Rakhine State :Senior military officials manage rehabilitation works

Senior military officers have been assigned to Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation works in cyclone-affected areas.

On the 19th of July, Lt-General Aye Win from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Buthidaung Township viewed round the seedlings planting activities in 85 acres of farmland and gave the readymade EM solution bottles to the local farmers to make natural fertilizers and gave necessary instructions.

In Rathedaung Township, Maj-General Aung Myo Tun and departmental officials attended the Waso robe donation ceremony marking the 76th Martyr’s Day at the office of the Township General Administration Department. Similarly, in Sittwe Township, Brig-Gen Aung Kyaw Moe met with local people of Theinnan village and discussed rehabilitation matters over Cyclone MOCHA and gave assistance.

Also, he inspected GW11 paddy cultivation in Pyarnan kyaung village. And Brig-Gen Tin Swe attended the coordination meeting organized by the district and township agricultural production development supervision committee in the Township General Administration Department and gave necessary assistance.

Then, he inspected monsoon paddy cultivation activities on 25 acres of farmland in Shwesarkapataung village tract and gave necessary instructions.
