Taekwondo competition "Ambassador's Cup of the Republic of Korea" was held in Ashgabat

A competition was organized at the Martial Arts Center of the Olympic Village with the participation of the Korean Embassy and the Turkmen Taekwondo Federation. Children from 7 to 12 years old and juniors from 13 to 18 years old participated in the competition. More than 225 participants from all over the country competed for victory in the two-day competition.

Aimed primarily at self-defense, this martial art appeals to both boys and girls with a balance of philosophy and physical activity. The team that won the first place was awarded the Cup of the Ambassador of Korea in Turkmenistan. Taekwondo is currently practiced in 205 countries around the world and is practiced by 70 to 80 million people.
