








At the invitation of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and party attended the First High-Level Conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development on July 9 to 10 in Beijing.
On the 11th, the Union Minister and participants of the Conference paid a courtesy call to Chinese Vice President Mr. Han Zheng. They exchanged views on the activities of the development agenda including the Global Development Initiative and sustainable development being led by China.
On the 12th, the Union Minister explored the Exhibition Hall of BRICS Partnership on the New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center in Xiamen which is one of the four Special Economic Zones initially established in China in 1980.
At the 2023 Seminar on High-Quality Development of Marine Economy, the Union Minister delivered the opening speech. The Seminar was jointly opened by Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw together with the Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People’s Government and the Vice Chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency.
In the evening, Union Minster toured King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. and discussed production of vehicles, exportation to Myanmar and the prospects for investment in Myanmar.
On the 13th, the Union Minister visited Kulangsu Island, which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, and went around the Cultural Heritage Conservation Area and museums.
In the evening, the Union Minister visited Kelong Co., Ltd., a micro-module data center supplier in China. The company manufactured electric UPS and Electric Vehicle chargers.
The Union Minister encouraged the Company to cooperate and to make investment in Myanmar. The Union Minister also visited the Chinese Buddhist College during his trip.
On the morning of July 14, Union Minister visited the Biomedical Research and the Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital of Xiamen University and he discussed investment and collaboration in the medical and health care sector as well as academic exchanges.
Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw and delegation arrived back in Yangon in the evening.
