Opening new office building: MoLA UAG opened new law office in Myeik

The Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo together with the Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region, Commander of Coastal Region Command Ma-J Gen. Saw Than Hlaing, region ministers, region advocate general and officials attended the opening ceremony of Myeik District Law Office and new Myeik Township Law Office Building in the morning on April 7.

First, the new office building was opened by the Union Minister Union Attorney General, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister, region minister for economic affairs U Maung Gyi, region advocate general U Ohn Than by cutting the ceremonial ribbon, and sprinkled the new office building inscription with scented water and looked round the building.

The new Myeik District Law Office and Myeik Township Law Office building is 44 feet long and 59 feet wide four-storey concrete-reinforced building and was constructed by Naung Yoe Myanmar Development Co., Ltd with Taninthayi Region Advocate General Office’s region capital fund of 542.214 million Kyats.

After the opening ceremony, the Union Minister Union Attorney General together with the officials met with the law officers and staff members serving duties in Taninthayi Region and the region, district and township level law officers introduced themselves individually and the region advocate general clarified the work implementation in the region.

Then, the Union Minister Union Attorney General gave the necessary work guidance. Next, the director general of Union Minister Office, directors general of Legislative draft vetting department, Legal Advice Department, Prosecution Department clarified as per the work sectors.

Then, the attendee law officers explained the work implementation and the region advocate general supplemented necessary matters and the Union Minister Union Attorney General coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
