







Organized by the Department of Historical Research and National Library of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, “Move and Historical Vision of Myanmar Culture and Customs” research paper reading session was opened at the National Library (Nay Pyi Taw) in line with COVID-19 rules and regulations on Monday.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko said that Myanmar culture has been developing since prehistoric times and all national races have been passing in unity and amity in successive eras with own literature, culture, language and regions. If looking back Myanma history, Myanmar culture has been alive and strong for thousands of years as a country that has stood proudly in respective eras with its own cultural tradition.
The Union Minister called for the national people to preserve traditions and customs with their consciousness in order not to disappear how much the movement is while understanding the saying, “If the culture is lost, the race will disappear”.
Later, the Director General of the Department of Historical Research and National Library clarified holding the research paper reading session. In the paper reading session, resource persons read out their research papers on “Studying gold leaf industry in Mandalay”, “Wedding custom of Myanmar people” and “The tradition of Libation”.
Attendees asked about further information on the research paper. Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan spoke words of thanks to the resource persons for sharing the knowledge and gave concluding remarks. The Chairman and resource persons were presented commemorative gifts and the paper reading session was concluded.
