Illegal Trade: Illegal timber, vehicle and goods seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On the 30th and 31stof January and the 1st of February, illegal timber including teak, vehicle and goods including cooking oil worth over 57 million Kyats were seized in Kanbalu and Monywa townships as well as at the 16-mile KyaukChaw Checkpoint and in Natalin District, Tanai Township, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Checkpoint and in Hpa-An Township. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
