



9-week Caregiver training course Batch 13 conducted by the Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of social welfare, relief and resettlement was opened.
After completing the 9 weeks course, written exam was conducted. If they pass the exam, the certificate that is approved by the department of social welfare were given out. The aim of the course is to care for the elders systematically and to create job opportunities for the youths.
Deputy Director, Day care center for the aged, Wai Wai Phyo Hlaing, said " The main reason of the trainees join our course is as young people to prioritize job opportunities. And also have the person who wants to learn about care systematically at the elderly care home.Japan's standard is that the people who completed N4 and N3 will have to pass during a year.Most of the students aim to go to Japan to be caregivers. This training offers not only to care for elders but also to look after the physically and mentally.
The Department of health and human resources, Public health Department and Department of traditional medicine under the Ministry of Health lecture at the course. In addition, the teachers from the Department of sports, Myanmar Red Cross Society and professors from University of Psychology and the psychologists came and lectured here for elder’s mental health."
The trainees who attend Caregiver training course Batch 13 expressed their aims of joining course.
Trainee, Yadanar Oo(Tharkatha Township), said " I joined this course because I want to care for elders systematically. As soon as I finish my course, I will start learning Japanese. After completing both, I will go to Japan to care for elders. I can gain many job opportunities from this course both local and international."
