COVID-19 Vaccination :Vaccination programme conducted in regions and states

Ministry of Health has been conducting the COVID-19 vaccination programme in regions and states for the disease prevention and control.

On the 23rd January, Tatmadaw medical corps, doctors from People’s Hospitals, medical staff and well-wishers gave COVID-19 vaccines to residents in 26 townships of Ayeyawady Region and locals in Mandalay Region.

Likewise, vaccination program is conducted to students in Keng Tung, the eastern Shan State and 26 townships in Ayeyawady region, 7 Districts in Mandalay Region. Commanders from respective military commands and officials conducted the vaccination programs and fulfilled the needs. Moreover, the COVID-booster doses are administered to students aged 5 to 12 from basic education schools in Monywa.

In addition to administering booster doses, health care services are given to students free of charge. The children who can’t afford to go to the school can receive COVID-19 doses at the respective Health Departments. Likewise, COVID-19 vaccination and booster doses are given to people in Kanbalu township, Sagaing region.
