Myanmar Mangoes: Growers come to focus on quality control of mango

During this year’s mango season, the mango trees are begin blooming in Mandalay and Myanmar’s mango growers had better focus on quality control to get good price in the market, according to general secretary of Myanmar Mango Market and Technology Development Association (MMTDA).

Kyaw Soe Naing, General Secretary, MMTDA, said " Growers from Mandalay are usually planted the Seintalone mangoes that can get good price in market. The mangoes trees are being blooming and it is delay about 10 days than usual but it will be blooming again. We have challenges the virus problem across the country last year. However, we can focus to control the mangoes quality this year. Seintalone mango is produced from mid of April in Myanmar and I think that the best quality of mangoes is produced in May."

There are more than 30,000 acres of mangoes cultivated In Mandalay Region and mostly exports to China and Singapore market, it is reported.
