75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day: People celebrate with entertainments & charitable works

Under the management of Yangon Region Government, people in Yangon celebrated events with joyful entertainments activities and charitable works to commemorate 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day at People’s Square in Yangon in the evening of 4th January.

The Independence Day is full with auspiciousness for people in Myanmar, and every year on that day, sports competitions and food donations as well as the commemorative events and contests are widely conducted across the country.

At the event in People’s Square, the Interfaith Relations Group donated vegetable biryani to all the comers including soft drinks and water.

Thein Lwin, Board of Director, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Public Co., Ltd said "In commemoration of the 75th anniversary Independence Day, our team donates vegetable biryani for about 13,000 people, in cooperation with the Interfaith Relations Group and this is the second time donation. I wish all people across the country to possess full of happiness and healthy life, and for our country to emerge as the peaceful and prosperous one for many years from now on."

Lots of visitors in Yangon flocked to the festival to enjoy the fantastic moment at the big concert comprised of DJ sessions.

Moe Pyae, Visitor said "I came here with my sons to enjoy the event in People’s Square. Since there was no event during the global pandemic, my sons want to come here. Today, we have already visited Shwedagon pagoda and Happy World. I wish all people full of mentally and physically heath."

The Independence Day is an annual public holiday in Myanmar which falls on 4th January, and people use to organize the commemorative celebrations along with the remembrance to preserve with vow for perpetuity of heritage of the Union.
