Online railway ticket service information: Passengers warned to stay away from illegal services

Although there’s no online railway ticket service provided by the Myanma Railways (MR) yet, there are some illegal online railway ticket services.

Plans are still underway to implement online selling railway tickets service and the Myanma Railways hasn’t provided any online railway ticket service yet.

Therefore, people need to be aware of illegal online railway ticket services through social media as there are many scammers who spread misinformation and disinformation using social medias.

The MR will make an announcement under the instruction of the head office when the online service is available. At Yangon Central Railway station and Mandalay Central Railway station, people can buy the upper class ticket three days in advance and ordinary class tickets one day in advance between 7 am and 3 pm daily.
