COVID-19 Meeting: Acceleration of prevention and control measures

Ministry of Health on Tuesday held a coordination meeting on acceleration of the COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

During the meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister Professor Dr. ThetKhaing Win stressed successful control of the COVID-19 disease in the country and the importance of control measures at the international airports and border gates as the infection rate rises in neighbouring countries.

He also called for efforts for continuation of COVID-19 vaccination program and readiness for quarantine measures, intensive care unit, medicines, medical supply, oxygen supply, RT-PCR test at border gates. And, attendees discussed matters including the rise of infection rate in China, US, Japan, the Republic of Korea and in some European countries, infection rate in Myanmar, COVID-19 test and control measures. This meeting concluded with the Union Minister coordinating the discussions.
