Vegetable, Fruit and Horticultural Show: In commemoration of Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

In commemoration of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, Yangon Region Chief Minister’s Cup Vegetable, Fruit and Horticultural show was held in conjunction with awarding ceremony at MahaMyaingKyun in Kandawgyinature park in Bahan Township on Monday.

The event is held with the aims of studying high cultivation methods of vegetables, fruits and flowers by the people, distributing high quality strains, improving the socio-economic development of growers and contributing to the economic development of the nation through vegetable, fruit and flower cultivation.

Yangon Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and Yangon Regional Ministers formally opened the ceremony. The Region Command Commander gave a speech at the event and then viewed around vegetable, fruit and flowery plants at the exhibition and landscaping.

It was followed by awarding ceremony at the Western Park in MyayPadethaKyun and the Region Command Commander and the Regional Ministers presented prizes to the winners in 24 categories.
