New Year Ovadakatha: Committee Chairman Sayadaw gives Ovadakathafor 2023

State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw gave Ovadakatha for New Year 2023. The Chairman Sayadaw highlighted the 13 great attributes of the Lord Buddha to bear auspiciousness as well as prevent various diseases.

Buddhists pay homage to the Lord Buddha with various kinds of worship, for His attributes of conquering internal and external dangers, for giving good speeches, for unrivalled miraculous power, for lack of passion, for looking sublime appearance, for unrivalled appearance, for the greatest morality, for discarding passion, for wonderful miraculous power, for the ability to disperse noble pleasure to others, for reliability and for conquering five kinds of proudness based on wrong perceptions.

Those who analyze and review the attributes of the Lord Buddha can easily and successfully do completion of all measures. They can possess miracle power. Most of the people residing in Myanmar can be free from dangers with the least impacts of Covid-19 thanks to the attributes of the Lord Buddha.

The Chairman Sayadaw also expressed his belief that if everybody recites the 13 attributes of the Lord Buddha, the whole country will be free from Covid-19. Also, the Chairman Sayadaw urged all to recite these attributes as of the New Year to be free from dangers.
