NKorea's politburo meets for end of year gathering

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a meeting of his top officials on Friday as his ruling Workers' Party continued a big end of year gathering, state media reported early on Saturday.North's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the meeting took place on Friday.

The politburo meeting "discussed the issue of taking some important measures to promote the development of major sectors of the national economy for 2023" and "some other important issues arising in the overall work of the Party and the state," according to KCNA.
