

Hong Kong will drop almost all COVID-19 measures starting from Thursday. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region John Lee Ka-chiu, announced on Wednesday afternoon to optimize Hong Kong's epidemic prevention measures, including cancelling mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for arrivals and quarantine requirements for close contacts.
But will issue health measures recommendations to relevant people through confirmed patients. John Lee said at the press conference that the SAR government would also cancel the requirements of vaccine pass and mandatory nucleic acid testing for all inbound people from Thursday.
At the same time, all social distance measures will be cancelled; including the gathering restriction order, the 1.5 meter dining table distance and the number of people per set, and only the mask order will be maintained.
