Christmas prayer service: Kachin State Government ogranizes Christmas celebration

Families of Kachin State Government held Christmas celebration and made prayer service at the State Government Office on Sunday.

First, the State Government presented Christmas gifts and extended greetings. At the event, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that as the essence of Christmas, every one needs to show love, compassion and peace among each other during Christmas period as Jesus Christ took himself the human life to share God’s love with all mankind.

In his greetings, the Chief Minister said that they are very proud of holding Christmas celebration together with the departments. It was followed by Christmas Thanksgiving where the Reverends made wishes.

The staff of the Administrative Department sang a hymn together. Later, Secretary of the State Government presented Christmas gifts and cash donation for Bishops and Reverends as well as gifts to the drum troupe and youth choir.

After that, the Christmas hymns were sung and prayer service was made. Bishops, Reverends, Tatmadaw senior officials, State Level Departmental officials and the Ethnic Literature and Traditional Cultural troupe then had Christmas lunch together and the Staff sung Christmas songs and performed dances.
