Livestock Sector: 34th Graduation Ceremony of Univ. of Veterinary Science

The University of Veterinary Science held its 34th Graduation Ceremony on Saturday in Yezin of Nay Pyi Taw. This Graduation Ceremony began as planned and Rector of the University signed the graduation record book.

In his speech, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi said that efforts to improve the education of future generations and to develop human resources are essential.

More than 70 percent of Myanmar's population lives in rural areas and is mainly engaged in agriculture and livestock. He also urged the graduates to help in the development of rural areas through livestock sector.

Since the establishment in 1957, the University of Veterinary Science turned out over 6,800 graduates.
