Beauty Pageant Information: 2nd bovine beauty pageant on Dec. 31 in Mingaladon

Department of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation will conduct the 2nd bovine beauty pageant on the 31st of December in Pyin Ma Pin Livestock farm in Mingaladon Township of Yangon Region. 

Region Staff Officer, Dept. of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary, Dr. Toe Min Tun said "We will conduct bovine beauty pageant to commemorate the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day. Domestic dairy cattle, beef cattle, goat and sheep will be included. We aim to promote livestock sector by farming good quality diary cattle and producing good quality dairy products. By organizing bovine beauty pageant, we can also preserve our domestic dairy cattle species such as Pyar Sein and Shwe Ni. Only livestock farms from Yangon Region will participate in the contest under 7 categories and winners will be awarded respectively. "

The upcoming event aims to promote domestic dairy cattle, goat and sheep farming by exchanging breeding techniques among breeders, to highlight the beauty and livestock production as well as the economic development of rural animal husbandry, and to raise awareness about the value and behavior of the livestock animals.
