Thanksgiving Service: Prime Minister enjoyed the Thanksgiving Dinner Reception

2022 Christmas Thanksgiving Service took place at Holy Cathedral Church in Yangon on Friday with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

On arrival at the venue, the Senior General was welcomed by Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Yangon Charles Cardinal Bo who later held a meeting and discussed the development progress of the country and the government’s efforts for peace, prosperity and development of the country. The ceremony later commenced with the greetings by the Reverends.

The Prime Minister later extended greetings, urging the leaders of Christian community to take part in an effort for achieving peace in the country. He added that the Government has set two national objectives of prosperity of the state and food sufficiency. The major admonishment of the religion is for the prosperity, and it needs cooperation of all entire people to enjoy prosperity along with the prevailing of peace.

The Prime Minister called for cooperation of all national citizens to reach the goal of achieving stability, security and peace which are the prior needs of the country.It was followed by the recitation of Bible and blessings by the Bishop, Archbishops and the Reverends. The Prime Minister later presented Christmas gifts, honorary cash award and donations.

The Prime Minister and party then enjoyed the dinner, hosted by the Myanmar Council of Churches, Catholic Bishops of the Republic of the Republic of Myanmar, Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance and Myanmar Christian Mission Cooperation Organization.
