Commemoration of 75th Independence Day: Chief Minister opens District Hall in Thayet Township

To Commemorate the 75th Anniversary Independence Day, the Thayet District Hall was opened in Thayet Township of Magway Region.

In his speech during the opening, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin said that the Magway Regional Government is paying attention to the regional development and socio-economic development of the people.

For sustainability of the Hall, the Chief Minister urged concerned officials and locals to take care. This R.C.C structure Thayet District Hall is 168 feet long, 86 feet wide and 17 feet high with a capacity of about 600 people.

Construction started on December 3, 2021 with an approved fund of 292 million kyats from the Magway Region Government. Thayet Township is home to Myanmar's first golf course and known for its cement factory and Turkish War Cemetery.
