State level TOT Course: Data collection survey for population & household lists

The State level Training of Trainers on data collection survey for population and household census of Kachin State Ground Data Collection Supervisory Committee was held at the State Head office on Tuesday.

The training aims for conducting field survey to District/Township/Ward and village-tracts in Kachin State to collect household and population census. At the opening ceremony, Kachin State Chief Minister U KhetHtein Nan said that in holding a free and fair multi-party democracy general elections to hand over the state responsibilities to the winning party in accordance with democratic norms, the correct basic voter lists play a crucial role.

He said that the participants attending the training for conducting door-to-door household census are the focal persons who will teach the working groups step-by-step how to carry out practical work on the ground and called for trying hard in learning lessons for accomplishing the important process of the state.

Later, the Chief Minister observed data entry process of population and household list forms (66/6) by using software technology and provided cash assistabce for the staff. The training will conduct to 68 trainees from the Departments of respective districts and townships for 2 days. The trainees from this course will conduct trainings again in the relevant districts and townships on 27th and 28th December.
