A hospital in Beijing has setup a makeshift fever clinic in a gymnasium for patients to able to access medical advice and collect medications. The move comes after the Chinese government last week dramatically eased some COVID-19 restrictions. So far, Beijing has more than tripled the number of fever clinics to more than 300.

Chaoyang Hospital set up a second fever clinic this week in a gymnasium nearby, increasing its capacity to treat patients with a fever. Currently, about 19,400 such clinics or consulting rooms operate in communities and townships around the country.  Health experts have said China will face a peak of infections in the next month or two and is trying to persuade reluctant seniors and others at risk to get vaccinated.
