Sports activities in Shan State: 63rd Kanbawza Championship Golf Competition opened

The opening ceremony of 2022 63rd Kanbawza Championship Golf Competition was held at the Shwe Triangle Golf Club, Kengtung Township, Shan State (East) at 7 Am on December 15.

At the ceremony, the State Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun said “Kanbawza” Golf competition had been held rotating hosts of Taunggyi, kengtung and Lashio yearly since 1956 with the aims of all-round development of sports sectors in Shan State, more friendly among the athletes and exchanging traditions and customs and the athletes across the Shan State participated. The Chief Minister expressed his words of thanks to 321 golfers from 46 teams of men and 9 teams of women for the participation in this 63rd Kanbawza Championship Golf Competition.

Next, the patron of steering committee for organizing Kanbawza Championship Golf Competition, patron of Kengtung Shwe Triangle Golf Club, Commander of Triangle Command extended words of greeting and the Aungban Towship team returned the Kanbawza Championship Trophy to the organizing committee.

Then, the chief minister and commander greeted the athletes and the Chief Minister, Commander and deputy Commander and state minister for natural resources opened the competition by striking SMOKE BALL and posed for the documentary group photo.

In the this 63rd Kanbawza Championship Golf Competition, a total of 55 Golf Teams including 46 teams of men and 9 teams of women will compete from 15th 18th December, it’s reported.
