In hailing and honoring the 48th Anniversary Rakhine State Day which will fall on 15th December, 2022, the inauguration ceremony of LanMaGyi concrete Road (section left to construct) was held at PyiTawTha Ward of Sittwe Township in the morning on December 14 and attended by the state Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, state chief justice, state government ministers, senior Tatmadaw officials from Sittwe station, departmental officials, townselders, teachers and students and invited guests.
First, the township development committee executive officer Daw Khin Khin Soe clarified the facts about the concrete road, the head officer of state development committee and township executive officer presented flags in commemorating the inauguration of concrete Road to the Chief Minister and officials and a local resident of PyiTawTha Ward expressed words of thanks.
Next, Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of Regional Operation Command (Sittwe), state minister for natural resources, head officer of state development committee and township elder opened the concrete road by cutting the ceremonial ribbon, posed for the documentary group photo and viewed along the concrete road.
The Lan Ma Gyi Road of Sittwe Township is 2 miles/6.1 furlongs long from Navy roundabout to top of Hsat Yoe Kya Bridge and it’s main road of the township. The road section from Hsat Yoe Kya Bridge to Clock Tower is the nylon tarred road. Previously, the paving concrete from the clock tower to the entrance of prison was carried out and the present opened road is a road section from the entrance of prison to the Navy Roundabout which is 3100 feet long, 24 feet wide and 8 inches thick concrete road. It’s was implemented with the budget allocation of 403.675 million Kyats, it’s reported.
