







The coordination meeting on collecting population data on the ground to have correct population list in the Sagaing Region was held at the region government office in the morning on 12th December and attended by the Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, members of region government, region level departmental officials, chairman of Monywa district administration council in person and by the chairmen of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Kalay, Katha, Kantbalu, Khanti, Sagaing, Yay-U, Shwebo, Homalin district administration council through Video Conferencing System.
First, the chief minister said that as the last one of the five future programs of the state, the state responsibilities will be transferred to the winner party in line with the democratic standards and norms by holding free and fair multi party democracy election.
For the election by the people correctly, the correct voter list is paramount important and the responsible officials need to address for that. For the process of collecting population data correctly and systematically, the training courses will be opened.
All responsible persons are urged to cooperate in assigned role with the sense of obligation to successfully complete the collecting population data on the ground.
Next, the region minister for social affairs U Aye Hlaing clarified the plans to be implemented the collecting population data on the ground in the townships of the region.
Then, the chairman of Monywa district administration council and the chairmen of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Kalay, Katha, Kantbalu, Khanti, Sagaing, Yay-U, Shwebo, Homalin district administration council reported the arrangements to collect the population data and the status of forming working group to collect in door to door system with power point.
Next, the members of region government and attendees gave necessary suggestions and the chief minister U Myat Kyaw coordinated requirements with the responsible officials and concluded the meeting.
Afterward, the chief minister and officials attended the opening ceremony of GPS handling and map making training by using the Global Mapper and ArcGIS Software and the chief minister gave an opening remark.
Next, the director U Kyaw Zayya from the region department of forest clarified regarding the opening the training course, the chief minister and officials posed for documentary with the trainees and the opening ceremony was concluded. GPS handling and map making training by using the Global Mapper and ArcGIS Software will take place for 7 weeks and be attended 15 trainees.
Then, the chief minister and officials viewed the successful nurturing treasure standard trees, fast growth tree, bamboo, Tamar and shady tree saplings to be distributed in coming 2023 monsoon season to grow and coordinated necessaries with the responsible officials, it’s reported.
