









The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by the officials met with the farmers, Water User Group, region/district and township departmental officials clarified regarding with the agricultural development at the briefing hall of 200 Acres, Khan Yan Kaing Village-tract, Lewe Township in the morning on December 12.
At the meeting, the union minister explained the implementation for the sufficient edible oil in the country, allocation of fund by the state for the acceleration of growing oil crops, agricultural loan that can be borrowed from the agricultural development bank, ministry will provide the pedigree seeds, requirement of forming the agricultural cooperatives and benefits which will come out from the cooperative societies, giving trainings for the skills of cottage industries for the socio-economic development.
Next, the region head officer of the department of agriculture clarified the completion of 2022-2023 monsoon paddy harvesting and growing winter crops. Then, the attendee farmers reported to develop the advance farmland, accessibility of rural production road and providing rural production road and bridge and the director general supplemented the reports and the union minister coordinated necessaries.
The union minister handed the pedigree seeds to the farmers and viewed the mechanized growing of sunflower, black gram bean, knotting straw with machine and soil preparation with Sub Soiler.
Afterward, the union minister viewed the implementation of generating irrigation water using solar power in Zaung Chan Kone Village of Pyinmana Township and the responsible officials clarified the related sectors. Then, the union minister and party inspected the generating irrigation water with solar power for 353 acres of sunflower plantation and instructed to maintain for the sustainability, assigned duties among the departments and farmers groups and implement to complete at the end the December to supply water in time for the growing season.
