




The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is implementing with the cooperation of departments, organizations and private entrepreneurs for rendering good services to the travelers in visiting the destinations during the opening season.
The Union Minister Dr. Htay Aung visited Kalaw Township in the morning on 10th December and viewed the community-based tourism implementing in Yay-Yaung-Ma Village under the management of Shan State Government. First, the responsible officials clarified the work implementations and carrying out the village community based tourism and the union minister instructed necessaries saying it needs to implement the green and clean environment not only for the happiness and pleasure of the visitors who want to enjoy the natural scenic beauties. Conducting awareness, supervising and giving constant notifications for the public on the environmental pollutions resulted harming to health conditions due to the rubbishes and wastes disposed by the tourists by the time more arrival of the tourists.
Next, the union minister met with the officials from the hotel and tourism sector and the members of groups who arrange the destination at Kalaw Gardin Hotel and gave necessary instructions. Then, the union minister and party visited Hu Pin Khaung Tai Hotel in NyaungShwe Township and viewed the cleaning of drifting rubbish and clearance of water way for entrance and exist to and from the hotel in the Inlay Lake with the mechanized boats.
As part of tourism promotion program in Inle area of Shan State, Inleby Cycle Event was held for the fourth time on 11th December. The event was jointly organized by the Directorate of Tourism and the Department of Sports and Physical Education Department under the guidance of the Shan State Government.
Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung and Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun gave speeches before taking off the event. Over 400 cyclists from NyaungShwe and Taunggyi took part in the event, and those who complete the finishing line were presented with the commemorative gifts.
