Basic Welding Course: Deputy Minister for Labour addresses opening in Putao

Deputy Minister for Labour U Win Shane on Thursday addressed the opening of a basic welding course at the Phon Kan Razi Hall in Putao Township of Kachin State.

The opening began as planned and in his address, the Deputy Minister said that the course was opened with the aim of providing employment opportunities, increasing family income, and developing the state.

He also urged the trainees to pay attention to what they will learn in the course and use it effectively in the workplace to make an effort to earn family's income. The National Skill Standard Authority has been assessing to issue certificates to 5,000 skilled workers in the fiscal year of 2022-2023.

The Deputy also advised workers who meet the requirements and these trainees after completing this course to contact the respective Department to get their skills checked and obtain skill certificates.

This basic welding course joined by 20 trainees from wards and villages of Putao Township till the 30th of December covers lecture and practical. It’s learnt that in Putao Township, home electrical wiring course and single-stroke diesel engine repair course were recently opened.
