Electoral Affairs: UEC members makes inspections in Nay Pyi Taw

The Union Election Commission (UEC) is preparing in advance to hold a free and fair multi-party democratic general election in accordance with the 2008 Constitution upon completion of the emergency provisions.

On Wednesday, in the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, UEC members made inspections in 8 townships to get correct population statistics for voter list. They also coordinated with general administration department and the ministry of immigration and population to verify the repeated statistics. This verification process is set to take place till the 9th of December.
