Myanmar / Thailand: MoFA Union Minister receives new ambassador

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr. Mongkol VISITSTUMP.

During the courtesy call on Wednesday afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw, the Union Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

They candidly exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further elevation of the existing friendly bilateral ties, and intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation across areas of common interest including trade, investment and tourism, as well as closer collaboration in regional and multilateral arenas.
