Ethnic Cultural Exchange Program: Study tour to Lao PDR clarified

A clarification on the study tour of the delegation led by deputy minister for Ethnic Affairs to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from 27th November to 3rd December 2022 under ethnic affairs cultural exchange program with Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund was held Tuesday.

At the event, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw TunAungMyint said the study tour aimed for the staffs to gain overseas experience, to increase their capabilities based on the knowledge and experience and to know the culture of Laos.

The special refresher courses are being opened for capacity building of the staffs. He called for sharing the experience and knowledge gained from the tour to the department.

Later, Deputy Minister U ZawAungMaung clarified about the study tour to Laos under Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Program. The Director General of Department of Ethnic Rights explained about the purpose of study tour to Laos under Ethnic Affairs Cultural Exchange Program and implementations.
