Myanmar / China: Economic Cooperation Forum held in Yangon

The Economic Cooperation Forum between China and Myanmar was jointly organized by the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and the Embassy of the China in Myanmar.

The forum at the UMFCCI Office in Yangon began with screening the message by the Chinese President. And, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein stressed that the dialogue between the two countries on the promotion of trade and investment activities is beneficial for both sides and can continue to further develop trade and investment.

Also, the Chinese Ambassador spoke about China's future policies, plans for neighboring countries, and assistance for Myanmar. The Chinese and Myanmar merchants discussed difficulties experienced in trade, economic policies that should be further negotiated and border trade issues.
