Tourism Sector in Mon State: Beach landscaping with stone sculptures in Thanbyuzayat

Among many beaches at the villages of the road side to Kyaikkami pagoda in Thanbyuzayat township of Mon State, Natural Stone Beach where the visitors can visit connecting with the Kyaikkami-Setsae is being implemented as one of the tourist destination places.

This Natural Stone Beach was implemented starting from 2019 to attract the visitors for their relaxation. The travelling activities are also implemented such as bicycling, climbing, fishing and observing natural beauties in the sea.

There are many beaches in Mon State, among them, the Natural Stone beach is comprised of three tourist attractions such as Sand beach, showcasing stone sculptures and also the nature study for the visitors. Likewise, the beach is implemented to gain the knowledge of the natural beauties for the students and youth.

According to the Regional Tourism Committee (Mon State), giving the instruction to promote the tourism sector. Besides, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism implements the tourism development projects including Barrier-Free Tourism and the traditional occasions and seasonal festivals.

There are many tourist attraction places in Mon State, the implementations will be carried out to promote hotels and tourism sector, to conserve the natural environment of current destinations, to develop tourism sector post-COVID-19 pandemic, to shot COVID-19 vaccination to the staffs and the licenses for hotels and tourism agencies will be issued according to the rules and regulation of the law, it’s learnt.
