Efforts for social welfare: MoSWRR Union Minister met with the philanthropists

The Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and party together with the Shan State Chief Minister and officials met with the representatives from the Taunggyi based volunteering organizations and philanthropic homes at the state government office meeting hall on 26 November.

At the meeting, the representatives clarified the philanthropic works carrying out, status of cooperation in the categorizing of persons with disabilities and registration of disable persons and the requirements and difficulties and the union minister and state chief minister coordinated necessaries.

On 27th November, the union minister and chief minister together with the officials paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of Naung Taung Parahita Tat-U Monastery in Hopone Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, supplicated the status of implementing for the development of protection and care needed children and the points to be coordinated, offered the robe and offertories and encouraged the students studying at the monastery.

Next, the union minister, chief minister and officials attended the event of providing disable person registration certificate and cash assistance and the union minister, chief minister, deputy minister and secretary of state government presented disable person registration certificates and provided 3 million Kyats of cash assistance for 100 disable persons in Hopone Township with 30,000 Kyats per head.

In the afternoon, the union minister and party with the secretary of state government visited the philanthropic home of Baby Jesus in PhaYaPhyu ward of Taunggyi Township, viewed the conditions of food and accomodation and greeted and encouraged the children, it’s leant.
