Inspection Tour: SAC Chairman inspected Tatmadaw cotton plantation units

Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by the General Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Senior Tatmadaw officials, Magwe Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, Commander of Central Command Ma-J Gen. Ko KoOo and officials inspected Tatmadaw cotton plantation unit (Pwint Phyu) in the morning on November 27.

First, the Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services and entourage was clarified by the Director of the Ordnance Maj-Gen Win Lwin regarding the history of Tatmadaw cotton plantation unit (Pwint Phyu), mission, implementation with the working plans relevant to the seasons, the status of work implementation of Tatmadaw cotton plantation unit (Lun Kyaw) and the carrying out the task to acquire adequate water for the cultivated acres.

In responding to the clarification, the SAC Chairman Commander In Chief instructed to cultivate and produce required cotton target for the Tatmadaw factories by the cotton cultivation units as the Magwe is the region where there is a good yielding of cotton. To implement the increase of per acre yield and to meet the target of cotton requirement of Tatmadw, by carrying out the livestock breeding on the surplus cultivated acres, the natural fertilizer will be obtained from the waste of animals.

To obtain the high yielding, it’s needed to get pedigree seeds, land preparation for better soil, acquire adequate water and correct cultivation methods and it’s needed to grow the wind shield shady trees for the environmental greening and the tasks are to be carried out practically for the success of the works. Then, the SAC Chairman Commander In Chief and entourage inspected the cotton plantation and cotton producing in Tatmadaw cotton plantation unit (Pwint Phyu) and gave necessary instructions in responding to the reports of the responsible officials, it’s learnt.
