Regional Affairs: Chin State Chief Minister holds meetings

During his trip to Matupi Township, Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wong Hsun Htan visited the No. 2 Basic Education High School, provided gifts to students and gave proper guidelines to achieve success in life, stressing the importance of mindset and education.

He also gave guidelines to teachers regarding their teaching and training methods and provided basic foodstuffs. The Chief Minister continued his trip to the Maya Baptist Church, inspected the site where a retaining wall be constructed with the Natural Disaster Management Committee’s fund and gave necessary instructions. In Mindat Township, he met with district and township departmental personnel, town elders and religious leaders.

There, the Chief Minister stressed that it is important to be good employees who can provide the best service to the public. Since Chin State is a state with natural beauty, there is a need to cooperate in developing nature-based tourism. It’s necessary to attract entrepreneurs to make more investments in agriculture and livestock sectors. He also heard reports on security measures, administrative, economic and social matters and regional development works.

After the meeting, basic foodstuffs and gifts were provided to the departmental personnel. In Paletwa Township, the Chief Minister met with district and township departmental personnel, town elders and religious leaders. In this meeting, he said the funds allocated for the socio-economic development of the region need to be utilized and implemented within the specified period.

Attendees were also urged to cooperate in order to establish knowledge-based society. And, basic foodstuffs and sports equipment were provided to the attendees.
