Visiting Mandalay Palace: MoRAC Union Minister visited Mandalay palace

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko inspected the Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace including the east part of royal buildings, buildings of queen consorts, west part royal buildings, stone inscription building (1) and (2), cannon museum, palace tower and the mausoleum of King Mindon and his chief queen consort on 19th November.

Next, the union minister said that Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace is the last one of Konebaung era. It’s the one depicted and proved the cultural standard of Myanmar and facilitated to encourage the patriotic spirit, the genuine religious and cultural heritage and it’s full of historical value, archeological cultural heritage value, architectural and artistic handicrafts.

So, it should be treasured and preserved not only by the officials and staffs of the archeological Research and Museum Department but also all Myanmar citizens and instructed the responsible officials to create and display with animated and inanimate presentations like the Forbidden City to attract the viewers and generate more revenue for the country.

Then, the union minister together with the Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko, members of region government and officials from the ministry of religious affairs and culture viewed the play titled “The Prestige Nobler than the Life” performed by the fine arts department of the ministry to present the public at the national theater (Mandalay).

The play depicts the wrong act betraying the country and nationality relying on a foreign power upon the case which cannot be solved with the strength lied within. As the drama play reflects the current situation and it’s a drama play of historical background true story and it deserves for the audience to learn the lesson, the play was performed two times in Nay Pyi Taw and it will be two times in Mandalay. The arrangements are being made to performed other places, it is learnt.
