Skills Enhancement: 8-week training for township-level tax officers

The Ministry of Planning and Finance on Tuesday launched the 77th skills enhancement training for township-level tax officers.

In this training opening at the Internal Revenue Department in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister U Win Shein urged trainees to serve the taxpayers with sincerity and dedication based on the lessons of the training.

It is necessary for the tax payers to educate and organize to pay the taxes according to the tax laws in order to fully obtain the rightful tax money which is the main for the development of the country.

The Union Minister also called on the trainees to cooperate on the efforts to turn the Internal Revenue Department into a transparent and modern tax department.

This 8-week training joined by 80 township-level tax officers covers such courses as tax law regarding the commercial tax, income tax, stamp duty, special commodity tax and lottery tax, bylaw, regulations, procedures, accounting, auditing, tax reforms and investigation methods into tax evasion.
