Illegal Trade: Illegal vehicle, goods and teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 27th and 28th of October, illegal vehicle, tyres, medicines and teak were seized in Hakha of Chin State, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint in Kayin State, at the Mahlwaltaung Combined Check Point in Tanintharyi Region and in Kyaukdakar Township of Bago Region.

In total, illegal vehicle, goods and teak worth over 113 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
