Religious Organization: Discussion to form All Myanmar Hindu Central Council

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture held a meeting with representatives from various Hindu tribes in order to form All Myanmar Hindu Central Council on Friday.

Union Minister U Ko Ko said the selection for the Central Council has to be implemented before the end of 2023, and the Selection Commission and 10 tribes are urged to carry out for achieving the specific numbers of candidates and amendment of some articles included in the constitution.

The Union Minister pledged to provide necessary assistance to the religious organizations in line with the Section 363 of the Constitution. The Chairman of the Selection Commission reported on the work undertakings for selection of the All Myanmar Hindu Central Council as of March 2020 and future plan.
