





Ministry of Hotels and Tourism launched a 2-day seminar on Enhancing the Understanding of Service Providers for Japanese Travellers. This seminar is part of the implementation of the National Activity Project-2022 by the Ministry supported by the ASEAN-Japan Centre.
Union Minister Dr. Htay Aung addressed the opening of the seminar at Shwe San Eain Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw. In his address, the Union Minister expressed words of thanks to the ASEAN-Japan Centre for implementing National Activity projects. The Ministry has been rebuilding human resources in the hotel and tourism industry and sustainable tourism development is being pursued.
The employees working in the hotel and tourism sector and the improvement of their service quality are very important. His ministry will continue to cooperate with the ASEAN-Japan Centre for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan cooperation and the development of tourism, the Union Minister added.
Also, Secretary of the ASEAN-Japan Centre for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan cooperation and the development Dr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi gave remarks. This 2-day seminar joined by 60 persons is set to take place till Saturday. Supported by the ASEAN-Japan Centre, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism conducted a training to improve the skills of Japanese tour guides in 2020 and a Japanese food cooking class in 2021.
